Assaf hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Recent television credits include Guest Star appearances on “24,” "Monk," NCIS," "Over There," "Numb3rs," "JAG," "The Agency," "Entourage" and a recurring role on the UPN sitcom "Half & Half."

Film credits include Flightplan with Jodie Foster, the award-winning Equal Opportunity, A Moment of Grace, American Gulag and Pic Six (from the producers of "Monk").

Selected regional theatre credits include multiple productions at South Coast Rep, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, The Magic, TheatreWorks, Marin Shakespeare Festival, Marin Theatre Company, Sacred Fools, PCPA Theaterfest and Fathers & Sons (with Ed Asner) at Emanuel Arts Center.

Assaf holds an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Integrative Biology from U.C. Berkeley.
